District Counselor



Professional school counseling is available to provide services to students, parents, school staff, and community members in the following areas:

  • Guidance Curriculum

  • Responsive Services

  • Individual Planning

  • System Support

A counselor may also assist with the following services:

  • Consultation with students and parents about academic, social, emotional and behavior concerns

  • Coordination of crisis intervention for students and staff

  • Provision of staff development and training for staff and parents

  • Coordination of standardized assessments for students, and interpretation of test scores

  • Distribution of information about career awareness and resources for post-secondary education

  • Provision of resources for social services
